Betsy Dwight has designed the Mindfulness Coaching program from her personal experience of being a highly sensitive person and navigating many different life transitions. Reflecting back on her life through the lens of a highly sensitive person, she understands why her most challenging times were those during transition: joining the workforce, moving to a new country and becoming a parent. Being thrust into all the “newness” was so overwhelming that she found herself wanting to withdraw, hold back and ultimately missing out on various opportunities. It was during the time of transition to a new city and a new lifestyle that she discovered the power of meditation through yoga. This sparked her curiosity in mind-body healing modalities and launched her career into a new direction.
Betsy holds a Master’s of Art degree in Counselling Psychology and practiced as a psychotherapist for many years, specializing in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy. She has always had a strong interest in the mind-body-spirit connection and this led her to earning a 500-hour yoga teacher training certification focusing on yoga therapeutics. Knowing she wanted to blend her knowledge she continued studying and received certificates in Life Coaching and Applied Mindfulness Meditation. Additionally, she completed the 8-week Mindful Self-Compassion course. Currently, she is studying to become an Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) tapping practitioner.
Betsy brings an intuitive and compassionate approach to her work as a mindfulness coach. She finds so much joy in guiding her clients to discover their inner strengths to live their most authentic lives.
